Gubad Ibadoglu`s research paper was the winner of the contest organized by Norwegian Institute of International affairs
The chairman of Management Board of Economic Research Center (ERC) -Gubad Ibadoglu’s policy research paper about modern issues of economy won the nomination of “Best 25 Research Papers” out of selected 82 papers in the contest organized by Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI). The author, as the winner of this nomination, will be awarded with 5000 Norwegian krone. This information was disseminated by ERC’s public relations department.
According to the information, the winning policy research paper was about modern conditions of Azerbaijan economy, economic criminalization and shadow economy issues. The author presents discrepancies in export transactions through the mirror statistics method, the results of calculations about the size of shadow economy via various methods for assessment of informal economy and his suggestions about offsetting negative effects of shadow economy on the national economy.
It should be noted that NUPI is the famous research and policy center and cooperates with Think Tanks and individual experts. Every year the institute finances selected 28 research projects from Central Asia and South Caucasus.
