Gubad Ibadoglu has met and held discussions with Turkish Foundations

Chairman of Management Board of ERC, Mr. Gubad Ibadoglu has visited Turkey from 7 to 12 March in framework of the project ‘‘Support to the strengthening of Civil Society’’ which is financially supported by the Marshall Foundation Germany.

The main objective of the visit was getting familiar with the procedures in Turkish foundations or societies like financing of the Civil Society Institutions, realizing the social investment programs of the companies and other activities of these foundations in the field of cooperation with the businesses. During the visit Mr. Gubad Ibadoglu has participated in numerous interesting conferences and meetings organized by the Third Sector Foundation of Turkey (TUSEV). Thus, Mr. G. Ibadoglu has met and held discussions with the following officials of from various foundations:
On the 7th of March: Meetings with General Secretary of TUSEV Namik Ceylanoglu and Director for Programs Bashak Ersen;
On the 8th of March: Meetings with the Director of Elginkan Foundation Ilhan Uttu, the President of the Koch Foundation Erdal Yildirim, the Main Director of the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey Berna Chaghatay, together with the Head of the Sector Planning and Organization Office  Ela Hasanoglu.
On the 9th of March: Meetings with the Main Director of the Sabanci Foundation Zerring Koyunsagan and the Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Foundation Filiz Bikmen, and finally the Main Director of the Education Foundation of Turkey Turgut Bozkurt.
During the meeting the heads of the foundations gave information about their charity activities in the fields like health care, education and culture. Moreover, the participants have exchanged their views about the cooperation between the organizations and made several important decisions in this direction.
