Economic Research Center at the sixth edition of the Black Sea NGO Forum
The manager of external relations of the Economic Research Center RamilKazimov attended to the sixth edition of the Black Sea NGO Forum- Building Sustainable and Effective Regional Cooperation held in Bucharest on September 4-6, 2013. Themain aims of this Forum are to create an open space for debate, knowledge and mutual understanding, communication and cooperation between representatives of civil society, governments and international organizations active in the wider Black Sea region. This event was organized with the financial support of the European Commission and the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
RamilKazimov took part at the “Good Governance/Local Development” thematic workshop within the frames of the Forum. Initially, the experiences of Romania and Georgia were delivered through power point presentations and afterwards, discussion session was kicked off. Moreover, health care, education, municipalities as well as the issues related to corruption were debated. As coming to the case of Azerbaijan, the main focus was given particularly to health care, education and it was mentioned the necessity of implementing reforms in these spheres. Additionally, the significance of eliminating factors on corruption in the field of infrastructure projects was highlighted as well.
RamilKazimov also participated at the “The Istanbul Principles for CSO Development Effectiveness” non-EU sub-regional meeting. The respect and promotion of human rights and social justice, gender equality, promotion environmental sustainability, practicing of transparency and accountability, including creating and sharing knowledge and committing to mutual learning were topics discussed at this meeting.
