Training was conducted for the municipalities of Central Aran region

The Economic Research Center (ERC) has conducted training for the representatives of 14 municipalities it is cooperating in Central Aran region in Barda city on April 17-18, 2014. The training was by the financial support of the German International Cooperation Organization within the framework of the project titled “Improvement of transparency and accountability, budget and financial management in municipalities, as well as the mechanisms of citizen participation in villages and cities”. The purpose of the training was to improve the knowledge and experience in the direction of use of “Transparent Budget” Program – the technological product applied in the partner municipalities of the Economic Research Center.

The representatives of Alyanli, Mollaguller, Khanarab, Katalparag, Daymadagildi, Zumurkhan municipalities of Barda region and Galabadin municipality of Agjabadi region took part in the first day of the training and the representatives of Yeni Dashkand, Samukhlu, Boyu Goyushlu, Alachadirli municipalities of Barda region and Ismayilbayli, Hajigarvand municipalities of Tartar region and Avshar Municpality of Agjabadi region took part in the second day of the training.
The coordinator of the Project Galib Togrul gave information about the project and delivered a speech with the presentation on the essence and priorities of “Transparent Budget” Program. After the presentation Galib Togrul provided detailed answers to the questions of the representatives of the municipalities (in relation to achievement of the program, its use and safety).
The next presentation was provided by the expert of the project Rajab Imanov. He demonstrated the “Transparent Budget” program to the participants interactively. Rajab Imanov provided visual examples to the participants of the training on formation of base of the program, inclusion of tax and charges and on informative results of “General Debt”, “Payment Notice”, “Personal Account” and etc automatically prepared by the program. After the trainer having answered the question on the above stated directions, the representatives of the municipalities have demonstrated their abilities to work on the program in individual manner. Then, the results were discussed mutually.
